"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
--- Mark 12:30
Welcome to the St. Paul Gar Creek Lutheran Church web site. There is a variety of information here regarding our congregation and our beliefs. Lutherans are Bible-believing, sacramental Christians who trace their roots back to Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. There have been Lutherans since 1517, particularly in Germany and Scandanavia. Lutherans in America followed large immigrations from Europe in the 1840's and 1850's.
The congregation at Gar Creek was founded in 1880 by 14 members of Emmanuel who wanted to form a LCMS self-supporting congregation on one acre of land in Gar Creek. The congregation now numbers over 400 souls. We worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. Bible Study is between services at 9:15 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts! The Sunday School Opening is led by our Youth Group, ALIVE, in the Sanctuary. Classes for all ages in the Fellowship Hall. Two Bible classes for adults are currently available; one studying the Augsburg Confession with Pastor Blodgett and the other studying different religions. High School Sunday School meets in the basement.
Communion is given every second and fourth Sunday.
Pastor: Reverend Michael Blodgett
